Please Help Me Find A Gaming Laptop (Budget $1250)

    Hi gamers

I bought the Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop last week, specs are:
    Core i7 740QM 1.73GHz - ATI HD 5650 1GB - 4GB RAM ..the rest don't matter
(Price in our country >> $1100) But unfortunately i've returned it due to overheating problems. honestly i was happy with the performance, but it heats sooo much!!

anyways, i've changed my mind about getting a dell, i'm afraid that this problem is with all the dell "core i7" laptops.. so i'd rather look for something else, and hopefully be better

I'm looking for a powerful laptop for hd video editing, graphic designs, games - can run current games at 30-40FPS on maximum settings, etc.. at a reasonable price..what do u suggest?
please!! don't mention alienware, or telling me to get a desktop for a higher performance.. i travel a lot, and trust me i'll be fine with a laptop
My budget is around $1250, will increase if necessary.

    main specs required:
    i7-740QM quad core
15.6" or 16" Full HD 1920x1080 LED backlit
    4 or 6 gb ram
NVidia GTX 460M or ATI 5870

So what do u suggest? please give some models that u think they're the best for the budget mentioned above,, actually i saw some reviews and i liked the ASUS G53 series! but i don't know what's the difference between the G53JW-A1, XA1, 3DE, XR1, XN1...i mean which one's the best? (that's another question lol).

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
    THANKS!

I honestly don't think you'll be getting what you want in that price range, but then again, I don't know for sure.

Here's a laptop I'm looking into for gaming, although it won't be for super high end results. Give it a look.

Laptops normally run hot, if you throw in a game, it will run even hotter than normal, hence, why when I read or hear of a "Gaming" laptop I can't help but laugh a little.

Depending on where you want to buy the laptop, your budget may or may not yield good results.

but there is something called "gaming laptop" my friend :) it's a fact. yes, they heat, they're not
as good as PCs, but they're gaming laptops. Asus G series, Dell Alienware, Toshiba Qosmio etc.. are some
examples. btw finally, i found the laptop by myself! the ASUS G53JW-XN1..VERY powerful and amazing price
    Thanks.

Well... if your laptop is capable of playing some high-spec games such as NFS Shift 2 and GTA 4 without any lags, now it's good for gaming... the only one I know that's good for gaming is Alienware. I heard Alienware are going to make M14x and M18x. I don't really know the cost in dollar...

EDIT: Sorry I didn't read that you don't wanna Alienware! I suggest the any Acer laptops. The Core i7 (Gen. 2 Core i7) from Acer is pretty cheap. PRETTY close to the Core i5's one.
