Yes, there are issues with Looting. You will come across many locations where there are glowing locations to loot but can not get the hand to grab the items.

The game was released unfinished in my opinion. But, all the important stuff is lootable.

Don't worry, there is no shortage of items.

    Bug:
other than a Camera like you did, no, I have no idea

Well, if you have STEAM, F12.
Works great. Good thing is, even if you didnt buy Witcher 2 from STEAM, you can still "Add" it to your library vis STEAM as with any other NON-Steam game.
Launch it from the STEAM library and you'll have the Overlay and F12 for screenies.

Beyond that, you can try "PRT SCreen" and try to paste it into a picture editor like PaintNET or PAINT. Ive had it work some, and other times just a black screen it captures.

Disappointing game structure so far. The original had 4 Acts with bigger locations and more side quests, here there is no big Vizima-like city to run through which is probably why it feels smaller even though the play time so far seems about right. And why does only a small chapter indicator appear? Shouldn't it be Acts, not chapters? There should've have been 6 "chapters". I have a nasty feeling this was cut down in preparation for a future console release.

Yes, it was. However good the game is, I am feeling a bit disgruntled by the fact I feel like I paid them to beta test for a console release.

I have stated previously, this game is Heavily consolized and dumbed down for that purpose.
If this were PC only exclusive, there are many, many many things that would have been done so much more differently and better suited to mouse keyboard. But this game over all with all controls is heavily geared towards game pad.

Not to mention,, I think it would have been more complete, possibly have had more chapters, would not contain QTE's, would run a bit smoother and had larger areas to explore.

The game does look extremely good when maxed out. But let's face it, they spent a lot of time tweeking cross platform controls, area loading management, and interface, then released it with a very unorganized satchel GUI which will probably be fixed in the EE/Console release. As well as the looting locations that can not be got.

    Anyway, that's my opinion.

May explain of the heavy use of blur and motion blur as well.

Maybe just me, but it seems many console/PC games use alot of blur to compensate for lack of proper AA I suppose.

I typically disbale it and crank up the AA and AF instead. I hate the blur. Its a poor way to mask flaws. At least IMHO.
Some PC games use it as well, but it doesnt seem as potent ...

I agree. The first inventory system was much better. Why is Journal and Inventory separated? What happened to the first one's organized tabs? Why are formulae available - shouldn't they be only available in your journal? Why do you need to meditate to access monster info? I'd say the most annoying thing is the lack of content. This should have been more epic. If its twice as long as the original I'd forgive all, but its not. Great RPG, but it could have been even better . . .

I just figured out by doing a little digging..........

The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf = The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

Ok, your right the exclusiveness is moot. Not like the ports are confirmed or anything.

The Witcher 2 is currently a PC exclusive game. There's a possibility that it might be released on consoles at a later date.

The game was released on May 17, 2011, PC exclusive. The developers have hinted that there could be some possibility of a console release after the game is released first for the PC, but for now the game is a PC title.
On June 2, 2011, an Xbox 360 version was announced, with CD Projekt confirming that it would be released by the end of the year
And I rest my case.... This is undoubtedly a Ported game. And PC was used as a beta test field for the console version.

only furthering the notion that this is in no way, shape, or form a PC Exclusive game.
I am a bit more peeved now. Will play the game and finish it, I payed for it.
Not sure I will buy TW3. Feeling a bit burned now that I start thinking more about it.
I really like TW1, and I am not fully disappointed with TW2, but feel it is quite unfinished and not as good as it should have been.

    Sorry,, just a little rant.

Have it but won't play it, not on my current system. This game deserves to be on maximum settings.
