Well get it off GOG.com ,, No DRM and it gives more money to the Dev's of the game.
Ahh.... Yet another Oblivion/Fallout 3 comparison - Sort of like the System Shock/Bioshock comparisons.
I've never played System Shock nor Oblivion - Yet by playing Bioshock and Fallout 3 I'm somehow linked to those games
Well I've played both Oblivion (GOTY Ed) and Fallout 2/3 and I fail to see what link there is between them..other than they are PC games and buggy as...only oblivion had more of them lol.
Maybe I don't see it cos I'm a dropbear :)
GTA 5 Better have planes this time!! I also hope they use the same facial stuff as L.A. Noire. Hate cut sceens, I want to shoot stuff and blow stuff up don't care about any crappy story. Hate click click click games there all the same repackaged diablo!!
See, Im the complete opposite.
A game you just run around and blow up stuff, without any story or point ... just seems a waste to me, and I get bored really fast.
If a game has a compelling story, immersive world with lots of things to explore and discover, Ill tend to be much more interested in whats going on.
Mass Effect for example.
It's the same game engine. FO3/NV were just updated modified versions of the original GameBryo engine used with Oblivion.
Same rendering techniques, same character modelling, similar A.I scripting/spawning, similar inventory system, same open-ended sandbox style, same location discovery/fast travel, similar conversation text-boxes, similar levelling up system, using companions as inventory holders (horse in oblivion), same item storage capabilities, etc
Aside from the setting, the biggest difference between Oblivion and Fallout 3/NV is that Oblivion did not have anything like V.A.T.S.
The correlation between system shock and Bioshock is a lot more tentative.
Completely different engines and execution, but there is a slim similarity in the underlying idea (exploring deserted setting, progressive augmenting of abilities, unlocking previously inaccessible areas etc)
Dang, looks good and I hope this is not just the trailer because I am jonesing for a good game.
I am not much into futuristic/scifi games but I did enjoy Max Payne, Fear and Crysis and this looks like a combination of all of them... throwing a little sam fischer into the mix
I didn't even know that there was a FC3 in the works, loved the first one, hated with passion the second one so I am not expecting much for the third one. I am waiting for FEAR3 since I have played the others one so this one is a must... hopefully it will not disappoint.
Pretty much how I am but, I guess I have had to lower my stds since the bar has also been lowered.
For instance, I would love for Modern Warfare to be less R&G and a little more Tactical and open but, I did enjoy them and none of the other first person shooters compare to it so I am waiting for MW3 & BC3 (hoping it will be better than BC2).
If only a Company not worth mentioning would get their head out of their collective asses and revamp GR and R6, the world would be better for all of us, instead, they try to copy MW and fail miserably
