    Fable 3 crashes when autosave

I bought the new game Fable 3, but I got a small problem. The game by itself works perfect, everything looks great. But after 30 - 50 minutes playing the game it crashes to the desktop. It is no random crash because it always happening when it's doing an autosave.

Is there anybody who got this problem too? And does somebody know how to fix this?

    Have you tried compatibility mode?

I'd also advise to first download & install the latest Catalyst Software Suite just select your model and download.

    Yes, I tried that.
Also tried to run it as Administrator. There seems to be a bug in the autosave system.
Reïnstalling the game doesn't help either.
Maybe I have to wait until a new patch comes out, but maybe there is somebody out there who already solved it. :)

Yesterday I tried to play the game again, downloaded the latest drivers(already had them but you never know if they changed anything small). Now my save game was corrupt and I have to start all over. .
    This is really frustrating.

But now since you started over, does it still exit the game once the auto save starts executing?

Have you tried playing the game in a different resolution?

I will try to play the game in a different resolution and will play in less high graphics. Maybe it will work.
Let's hope but I'm not the only one complaining about this problem. I think there will be a patch released soon for this.

Give it go,,You can also try running this...

    RUN > CMD > SFC /SCANNOW

Another app you might try while running the game to view the status of your GPU is this:
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark
    Check your CPU with this:

And,you can also test the RAM with this:
    RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Give the components a test and upload the results if your system is still not taking the game after the results show all good. I'd say you need to have a look at that patch.

Another thing you might try is downloading & installing the latest DIRECTX you can find.

    Post back with your conclusion.

    Hope this helps.

Ok, I did the test and all looks fine :). Downloaded the latest Drivers/ Direct X and everything I can think off.
I changed some settings in the game, turning the shadows off and some effect to high instead of very high.
So far no crash. But I'm still not at the point where it first happen. I saved my game manual too, because I don't wanna have a corrupt save game file again .

I will post as soon as possible if the problem occurs. Let's hope it won't crash anymore.
