Well, that mousefix works on 7 as well, its not as good as it is on xp but it works.

That and 250hz polling rate on the MX is as good as it gets for now. Gonna have to get one of those 120hz lcd cause 60hz monitor refresh rate is the biggest drawback of any system i think.

How do you know it only "turns down the threshold"?

Im not sure if it "only" turns down the threshold but it doesnt remove all of the acceleration.

You can check the values in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse prior and after adjustement and see what it does, but whats more important is that the setting does not completely remove the acceleration.

I'm asking, what's your basis for knowing that there's other acceleration in place after turning precision off?

    Because it impacts the sensitivity.

I had the same problem and this is how it worked for me:
    1. Mouse precision - off.
    2. Vertical sync - off.
    3. Noforce commands and freq (-noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -freq 75).
    4. I run hl.exe in windows XP SP3 compatibility mode.
(i think the last one was crucial)

I use the Razer DeathAdder mouse, the customiser application has an option to disable mouse acceleration in Windows and this works a treat, but is of course limited to people with a Razer mouse.
In cs 1.6 I then use the following launch parameters: -console -noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemspd -freq 75 -bpp 32

I also have mouse precision turned off in Windows and am using 1000Hz polling rate.

I'm not sure about the other games you mention.

i have this problem also... its like a slight acceleration or skip for me... i play cs 1.6 with -noforcemparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd -freq 100 with deathadder 1000hz (on xp this problem wasnt present so i think its a registry problem or needs a driver fix)... im on 2.0 drivers and 1.27 firmware... i submitted a ticket to razer so if neone found the solution post it here...ill post if razer responds with a fix thanks
