any game recommendations ?

friends I am more of a strategy game lover. I had finished Age of Empires 3 just a week ago. I would like to know what other games are that are similar to Age of Empires so that I can have a go at them.

Some years ago I played a game, where I was an military officer and I had to build up army and group for attack. It was similar to Age of Empires but I didn't need to cut woods or catch fish I don't remember the name though

Anything of this genre are good

You should check out Knights of Honor on steam, it's 10 bucks and a fantastic medieval simulation.

IT's world map is a real time simulation and when you engage enemy armies, rebels or siege towns it's like Age of Empires.

A Neat thing about KoH is that you can hire Spies, Merchants, Builders, Landlords, Clerics, and Marshals to your court. Each has individual abilities and as you put them to work they eventually get better abilities, your Marshals for example gain experience from battles and you can level them up with unique skills.

Skills that effect moral, logistics, or make archers, swordsman, spearmen, or horsemen better.

Merchants are used to trade with kingdoms earning gold or governing towns importing exotic resources and bringing small income. When they get more experienced they generate more gold.

Builders add more manpower to each province, with builders present your buildings obviously get built faster. AS they gain more experience you get more production.

Landlords bring food to the province, as they get more experience you get more food.

Clerics are used to convert foreign regions to your religion, or to calm foreign populations. They can also govern cities to write books which are used to educate your personal in the royal court. Also when Clerics gain enough experience they can become a pope, giving your kingdom significant influence throughout the Catholic world.

Spies are used to either prevent other spies from infiltrating your court or you can attempt to become a knight in a foreign land with a spies. Your spy can be hired as a merchant, marshal, cleric, builder or landlord. Depending on which the spy gets hired as gives you different options on what you can do. You can incite rebellions, force provinces to succeed and join your kingdom, or even assassinate members of the royal family. It's super fun.

It's a really neat game, check it out!

Please omit the annoying narrator, the gameplay is still good though.

Stronghold 2 or Stronghold Crusader.
Warcraft 3/ Frozen Throne is still the best RTS game with RPG elements.
Command and Conquer genres except Command and Conquer 4 because it's bad.
Supreme Commander 1 or 2
Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth 2 with the expansion.

I can go on! Just name it!

Does KoH need internet to be played ? I want to play an offline game not a RPG/online gaming style one.

I'm looking to jump up to a 500GB or even a 640GB hard drive, and I was just wondering if some of you might share experience/make recommendations. It's to go in my Toshiba (see my specs), so obviously it has to be a laptop-sized (2.5-in.) drive. Thoughts?

I think the last computer game I actually spent hours playing was SimTower or SimFarm...yes, it has been a LONG time.
