Because I wasnt sure on how to do that. You can just update over the old version or you need to format and make a clean install?

Hey guys, just thought I would let you know how I managed to get CoD:WaW working on my Windows 7 setup.

First of all I spent ages trying to get this game working on my setup, I upgraded all my drivers and did the whole change my sound to 24bit 48000hz and deleted the profile and tried to create a new one. But nothing worked, also I was getting slightly different errors to what everyone else seemed to be getting.

So I checked my event viewer and found the error that has been coming up everytime I try to run the game, and I noticed this in the error:
    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\kaseyasp.dll
Fortunately I know what that kaseyasp.dll is (part of some management software I have on my computer), so I uninstalled the software to test it, ran the game and it went off without a hitch.

Hopefully this will help someone else as well.

    Cheers
    Murty!

    Hello

i stated this in another thread, but ill say it again:

what happens is when i launch CoDWaWmp.exe, the splash screen loads, as normal, and then the screen goes black, the computer locks-up, keyboard and mouse unresponsive, i have to reset my computer.

i have looked on many forums, and have tried all of their suggestions, i have set the audio to 24-bit 48000 Hz, and while that fixed the singleplayer (CoDWaW.exe) it did not help the multiplayer, i have also tried removing Treyarch.bik, to no effect, i have also tried every compatibility mode, and it still does not work.

The game did work in windows XP, and i remember i did get it working in windows 7, however i do not remember how i did it.

Any help would be much appreciated.
