    Function Keys

I recently bought a new computer with Windows 7 on it and some of the function keys are preset for volume control or screen brightness, for example. I play a MMO and part of it is using the function keys (F1, F6) for attacks or other preset actions.

Unfortunately, when I last went in to play, instead of attacking as I had planned, I decreased my sound volume. I know I can press (Fn) and then hit the function key, but this can mean getting killed with the time lag. Is there any way I can reverse it? So that pressing (Fn + F9) reduces volume while just pressing F9 does whatever the game has programmed?

Thanks in advance for the advice!:)
