Much of these kind of websites are more or less completely pointless. PC users today rarely find themselves in a situation where they don't know their own system specs.

Instead of allowing an almost alien piece of software ravaging through your system, just search for the required system specs for a game you want to play and compare them to your specs yourself, it's not that hard at all. There are websites dedicated to solely listing games' requirements, those are much more useful than crap like Can You Run It... IMHO

yeah right, i preferred much this kind of "getting to know" your system specifications. but on the other hand there are some gamers who want to purchase new games but doesn't even have a knowledge especially on *Video cards..i have read on a one forum that he purchased "Dead Space 2" and he got a problem stated that "does not meet the minimum requirements for Dead space 2"because he thought the higher value of number in a video card the higher its performance.. so wasnt it a good start if you dont know where to run .. ^^

I hate to say that word, but true gamers know their specs. Some build whole rigs just for gaming. Now, if a console fanbaby once in a while stops trollin' on forums and picks up a PC game, and something goes wrong, well, it's their own fault xD

Honestly, did you ever just go and pick up a game, knowing nothing about its requirements, and potential issues? There is always tons of references, even for new games, on the internet; a bit of research into the game's features/performance/requirements/bugs etc. can do no harm. Besides, if they're not sure about whether their PCs can support the game, they can always ask, don't you think?

Sometimes you can get games to run on a "less than minimum requirement" rig by simply editing a config file.
