Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and steam

I am a little annoyed that after buying 2 games from EB Games today, Aliens V's Predator and Apox, they both need "Steam" to install properly. I have installed steam and it tells me that i have no internet connection. I have a wireless internet connection and steam does not pick it up at all. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, i have down loaded the latest steam from the web site and i still get the same problem. Can anyone help me out ?

Your firewall is blocking steam, set your firewall to enable steam.
You have to be logged in with a steam account afterwards.

As speedgamer said it is most probably the firewall.. Check if your using the Windows firewall and enable steam there. If that doesn't do the trick also check you anti-virus as they sometimes have firewalls of their own. If that doesn't work... come back and we will think of something else! :))
