hi I've been trying for ages to get my wireless xbox 360 controller to work with my PC .

If you have a wireless controller, then you'll need to purchase a Xbox 360 Wireless Reciever for Windows from your favourite retailer.
how do I know/ find out , if I need a xbox 360 wireless reciever for windows?? for my controller to work.

Hi Juxxize. I had to buy a Microsoft gamepad wireless receiver to get my wireless Xbox360 controller to work. Attached a link to Amazon to see what the underside of the receiver looks like.

Amazon.com: Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows: Video Games

After I plug in the receiver, there's a little button on the front that will let you pair your gamepad with it. The official Microsoft gamepad's pairing button should between the Left and Right Shoulder Bumper buttons, little dot thing.
