    Halo 2 Insufficient Resources

I FINALLY got Halo 2 to do something by running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP. But now it says I have insufficient resources. Now I know I have sufficient resources because I can run Metro 2033 with DX10 on high.
The problem is that my switchable graphics don't actually switch to the dedicated card until after the game has been running for a few seconds. Is there any workaround? Like a way to make Halo 2 NOT scan?

Considering Halo 2 is a console port (I think) there is most likely no way to tweak it ingame or in the config files which probably don't exist anyway. Console ports mostly just run the way it's meant to on a console where tweaking options simply don't exist.
Can you get into the BIOS and disable the "switchable" card so it runs only on whichever card/mode you want? if thats even possible.

If we're talking about this Halo 2......

Notice the upper left side of the box where it says it requires Windows Vista so running it in "compatibility mode for Windows XP" is futile - Halo 2 for Windows Vista: Minimum System Requirements

Anway I wish I had a solution for you but I couldn't get the game to run in Windows 7 x64 on my system

There's a thread here - Halo 2 will not install on Windows 7 with my post here - Halo 2 will not install on Windows 7

You also might make sure the game is patched before running the game - Halo 2: Patches, Download Patches for Halo 2

    Good luck.
