I'm thinking about getting it because of the co-op, but thus far I couldn't convince anyone to buy it as well, the game is rather broke right now (on steam at least) so... maybe in the future when it's cheaper I'll grab it, it looks really good tho

yogscast playing the game, play in HD and check the graphics out

I would buy it only for the co-op, I don't think by the looks of things the SP will be any good, don't seem to have any depth what so ever and the general gameplay is kind of boring (that is my take on it), bear in mind that I haven't played it, might be 8th wonder of the world and I'm just wrong, but I don't think so

Well ,I bought it yesterday the Install was Horrible took like 3 trys to install correctly and i went though steam on the last try and it worked

Game play kinda shabby the controlls are kinda awkward
I ended up changing the controls similar to left4dead style make it much easier on me

Co-op is ok but better off playing solo cause alot of people who have been playing a while gives noobs a hard time ( ME ) and i got really annoyed with some guy kept yelleing at me here here .....

Im sure after learning the game more it will become a little more fun as of right now i have SH** weapons and running around learning the world

thats pretty much it for having it for a few hours

    You guessed right
It's awesome and i can't stop playing it. I play with 360 pad and controls are perfect.
Can't compare to anything really because it stands on its own. I play solo because i want to take my time in exploration of island.

I had pre-ordered it on Green Man Gaming and pre-loaded week before release so i had no problems with any installation or anything.

Yes it is starting to get better and make more sense when you are running around solo

Co-op is confusing cause it has so many missions and everyone is everywhere lol

But it is shaping up im starting to get into it more and more

    Hi all,

It's good but I'm not sure with worth the money.

In short it plays like an improved version of the original Duke Nukem. There's some good parts to it (e.g repair and upgrade weapons) but even that hasn't been thought through. For example a heavy iron pipe will degrade through use. Erm, not when it's being used against flesh and bone it won't.

The sandbox aspect is good, though again you get some silly respawning (particularly in the road up to the lighthouse). There are also curious errors bounding around which suggests the game wasn't played through much in testing. For example I was stood waist level next to a wooden platform, but somehow can't climb up and need to go round to the ramp to access it (this impinges on the idea that you can roam anywhere). It's far from GTA in this capacity.

Finally the manual is non-existant. Really no information given about anything (how much you can carry etc etc).

On the upside it is addictive with lots of fetch/carry quests and it is fun. I just feel that if they'd spent a bit more time testing it they could have had an epic. It doesn't feel like a £40 game.

    Dead Island, lol.

That was a pretty damn good walkthrough if you ask me. Great game, very deep and lengthy storyline, the graphics are gorgeous...
