    My comp handle NEW Skyrim?

hi i have a desktop that i bout about a year ago or so, that i bought for gaming..... i found it on sale at staples and couldnt resist...

it had a super low graphics card in it but i knew i could fix that, but the rest of it was amazing... so i installed a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT card into it. has 1GB of visual memory.

    other stats is 6GB RAM, 500GB HD, Dual-Core pro. @ 2.50 GHz

do you think it will be able to handle Skyrim?

I'd go to a 460 since the 9800 is dated to say the least. Several generations behind and compared to the newer cards its slow. The rest of your rig looks ok to run Skyrim..I havent read anything about the game being a system breaker..BF3 will be but thats a whole nother ball game.

Yeah you probably can run it ... low-medium settings depending on your resolution. If the game is optimized for quad cores then your dual core will worsen your performance. Better wait for the game to be released and atleast a couple of patches to be out ... Bethesda's games are terribly buggy on release.
