    What Is Virtual Memory?


    I'm trying to run an old pc game called Might and Magic VIII, but when i try to run the game a window pops up saying "Due to virtual memory requirements Might and Magic VII requires 30MB of free hard drive space to operate properly"

    What does that mean? I have about 16GB free space on my hard drive so i don't understand what Virtual Memory is :S

    EDIT: It also says in the message i have 12MB of virtual memory available on the current drive
