Playing with kids 2,000 miles away

Hi all,

I'm about to give my kids my old laptop (tomorrow). I would like to load some (preferably free) software that will allow us to play games against each other from a distance. I'm not looking for MMORPGs.

Any suggestions?

Diablo 2 with hamachi can do that. It's fun to play with friends (for me at least).

I would recommend World of Tanks. You can play together against other online opponents and its free. You can also voice chat in the game. World of Tanks

Or there is also an option to just play eachother 1v1 but the game is designed really for 15v15 tank battles.

You can also try miniclip if you want to play in browser games. They have tons.
Not doppler was my other favourite, they have many games and they give you the latest ones every thursday.
