BF3 is optimised for multi cores..quad in particular..unlike BC2 tho BF3 is not so heavy on the CPU as its been set up this time around to give more work to the GPU.
So you will be needing a decent graphix card with 1.5gb of memory..to play in ultra settings then you need top end 3gb cards.
It's likely to be playable on a wide range of (older) cards but lo res and lo settings.6 more sleeps til it starts and I'll bet it has all sorts of issues on release.
    It is EA/DICE after all..

Ouch! That's closer to the release date of MW3 (CoD) in the States (November 8th I think)

Wonder why you all get shafted??

I shall just upgrade my GPU and just unlock my CPU to 4 cores when needed (It would help if someone replied to my topic regarding my CPU unlocking).

I saw a yourube video of a guy who played BF3 beta on ultra settings. But not with a high end card. The card he was useing was the same as mine, the GTS 450, paired with a quad-core AMD CPU. So. . .Yea, I doubt the cards will need to be super high-end.

to give you guys the change to get all the good guns and unlocks and own us!?

guess EA didnt want a world wide release.. is odd though.

Let me know if theres a massive patch on release! my rubbish 1.6mbps internet will need that 3 day delay to download it lol

I will like the proper CrossfireX and SLI support. I have been thinking about buying a 6990 when I order the game on Newegg. But I might want to upgrade my ram first. Not sure what I will do next.

I hope my system can play it.... I think I should of gone for a 560 instead of a 460 but heard great things about a 460 and so far it's been brill.

No you didn't..Ultra settings were selectable but DISABLED during the Beta.
    and
Yes you will if you want Ultra settings..I'm certainly not expecting too with my 570..if I can I will be surprised (pleasantly).
