    Battlefield 3 Control Question

I haven't played any of the Battlefield games since 1942, but the new BF3 looks amazing. So, here's my question. How do you configure your game for control in vehicles? I always used a keyboard only, and found that any air vehicles were impossible to use and control. Would I be much better off using a separate joystick or controller for these vehicles? Is that even possible? I have a wired 360 controller I am able to use, if that is compatible....but I don't know if it allows me to set the controller up for vehicles, and still use my keyboard and mouse for the FPS sections of the game.

A few people use Joysticks for flying afaik...seeing the game is multi platform I would think a 360 controller would do the job but I'm not sure of that atm...
Game is released @ midnite tonight AEST not that I'm going to bother so there will be info around as to whether controllers/etc will work.
Pretty sure Joysticks will tho just not 360/KB/M combinations.

I drive vehicles with the keyboard, but fly vehicles with a joystick....at least I did back in the days of BF2, BFV, and Desert Combat.

For those buying the game today (or tonite), please... if you play the Campaign make sure to comeback here after your must needed breakfast break or bathroom break and tells us about it.

My plan is to start tonight with the campaign mode. I have to get used to using the keyboard and mouse again...I've gotten used to the controllers with my consoles.

It has a campaign? Been playing on and off all day and haven't even touched the SP game, and probably never will.

From what I have seen it is only about 5 hours long and consists of not much more than go here, go there, do this, do that. Then again the Battlefield series never was about single player.

I am not feeling the love for the Campaign nor getting that warm and fuzzy feeling by this comment...

i have no problems using the keyboard for any of the ground vehicles thus far. Haven't had a chance to use any aircraft yet.
