What graphics card and cpu do you have?

Its g force graphics card 8400 gs and Pentium D

is this good?

I have a differenr problem... just installed Doom 3 but when I want to play it tells me this program has stopped working and needs to close. Under details it says the following:

Its a budget card.

ah whats a good card then?

Doom 3 works perfectly for me in Win7 with newest Nvidia drivers. Only problem I get is it takes a long time to close the game, freezes for a like ten seconds but then closes eventually.

That is one crazy game man, the hardest ever FPS campaign of all time and I've played them all. Nightmare settings of course with the expansion pack on highest graphics settings.

You could probably get an 8800 fairly cheaply.

INSTALLED DOOM 3 INMEDIATLY into my windows 7... just to not have fantasies with a playable Crysis with an ati radeon mobility 4500,

but the screen flickering its hell.

I know some of you still play your old school OpenGL games such as Quake 3, Doom 3 and Unreal Tournament. The problem is that using the latest ATi Catalyst 9.2 driver (and earlier) for Vista x64 (works fine on Windows 7 x64 except OpenGL) causes these games to flicker continuously, rendering the game unplayable.
