Hello, I am trying the USB mod on a Xbox controller (not 360).
I think I did everything well, but when I connect it to a USB port of my PC nothing happens. My PC doesn't see any USB device connected.
    Please help!

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit, and I didn't follow any of the advice on this forum. I just installed the latest 1.07 XBCD drivers, then plugged in the controller after that and it worked. As far as adjusting the setting and button mapppings, you don't have to be as complicated as SirReno7. Just start the Setup Utility but right-clicking on the link and doing a "Run as Administrator"

Yeah, but wheres the fun in that? there's always somewhat of an adventure, when rigging stuff the old fashioned way. yay.

-thanks for sharing though, slightly less techno-enthusiastic people will use this method probably. heh

Have you tried what I have posted in my original reply to this thread? It is still a valid solution.

    NOT 360 controllers.

I was able to run xbox (NON 360) controllers with xbcd.dll drivers.
    in windows xp.

they do not seem to take effect with windows 7.

    X_x....

Anyone know what I need to do ?
So many forums out there talking about vista.
I tried a few things, but the vista options dont seem to work.
After much frustration, I found this driver to work. Google likes to show you outdated drivers for some reason. If this is ever dead, Google XBCD 0.2.7 and it will work and I think you have to disable driver signing as I did do that first but this is the only one to work. Using Windows 7 Pro x64.

I've found a program online called XPadder, which takes Xbox and Xbox360 controller inputs and maps them to the normal keystrokes that PC games take. You can customize these for any game on your PC, and the program only costs you 9.99 USD. This provides you with:
"The latest version of Xpadder, full forum access and free updates forever. Total:$9.99USD"

    Xpadder.com

It works great, and I've used it ever since I found out about it.

Hey guys, i found another solution for this.

    don't use XP robcardiv !
    i got it !

You need the program " Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider ".

    • Run it with admin privileges and enable test mode.

    • reboot

    • then install the driver for a xbox2pc converter. (Tiger Game XBox Controller / search google for super joy box 9 and chose the first link )

    • open DSEO , enable test mode and reboot again

    • now plug in your controller

    • windows will detect it, but wont be able to install the right driver. the device will have an exclamation mark.

    • double click on the device -> chose tab Hardware -> select the correct hardware and double click -> chose tab Driver -> Let me pick -> show me a list of all ... -> all devices -> TIGER GAME XBOX CONTROLLER ! (the steps from "pick driver" etc. can have a little different name, but they are the same. )

if you can't see the driver, reboot normally and then enable test mode again and reboot.

Yeah, it may takes long, but after that Windows 7 will always see your controller and it will work fine !

i copied exactly what was written on here and it worked fine. only problem i have now is that i cant use the triggers when trying to play gta III dunno if anyone can help me out here. but everything else is perfect!

    Follow this!!
