I know this is probably stupid of me to say, but have you tried running it on 32Bit with Compatibility settings on?
Have to do that from the 32 bit exe found in the game's Bin32 folder, the shortcut found in the Windows games folder will run the 64 bit version.

And like I said not that it helps those that it isn't running but,

I gotta admit, Crysis has been the only game that has given me fits with Win 7 and the fact that I had to set it to "XP Pro SP1 Compatibility" to make it run correctly... No other compatibility option would run.

Hmmmm...I'm using the RC release of Win7 64-bit and Crysis is running fine for me. There was a couple of large patches and 1 small patch. The small patch gave me fits in the menus for setting up resolution and so forth. Once I took off that small patch, things were fine for me. The patch is really for online gameplay...and I'm just playing single player...so I don't really need it.

I also installed the 1.2 patch and not the 1.21 but as soon as I would click on the icon, the screen would go to black (like its going to star) and then minimize it extremely fast and I would go back to the desktop w/o an error or pop up screen letting me know of an issue.

I had played this game before but I wanted to try it with my new rig so I am just glad I got it working, not going to waste to much time with it.

All my other games install perfectly, including Crysis Warhead.

    Crysis and WIndows 7

Bottom line is that this game does not function properly under Windows 7. I am having the same issues with my Crysis/Windows 7 combo.

I have installed all three patches with no luck. Running in Compatability mode is not a real solution because is may or may not work. In my case, it does not really work.

Is amyone aware of an additional patch for Crysis?

I have Crysis installed on Win7 Ultimate x64 and the only patch applied is 1.2, the game runs perfectly on my system. I also am not using compatibility mode or any other special measures. This game is FULLY compatible with the RTM version of Win7 Ultimate x64.

Under Vista x64 with 600 watt psu and dual 8600gt's in sli I did have to institute special measures to get it to run as follows:

Navigate to the actual game folder (Computer-> C: -> Program Files (x86) ->Electronic Arts -> Crytek -> Crysis -> Bin64 -> Crysis64.exe) and create a shortcut to the crysis64.exe which I then set to run as administrator and used XP pro SP2 compatibility mode.

None of this is required on the RTM for my machine. I have however upgraded since then to a 1200 watt psu and dual 9800gt's in sli.

If I could give some advice to those seeking help....please fill out your system specs in your "user cp" as it will assist people in helping you if they have this info.

Maybe try re-installing it without using the 'no-dvd' patch you said you are using.

    Install->patch->play...

Kep the dvd in the drive when you play.

Ran across this on another board. I tried it and it seems to work, somewhat.

Create a folder on your desktop.
Copy the contents of the DVD onto the folder you just created.
Right-click on the Setup file and select "Run as Administrator"

This fixed an installation issues I was having, where a file was reported as missing, which would then halt the installation. For whatever reason, Windows thinks that something is wrong with my DVD drive on my system? Go figure!

So, now that the install is completing, here is the other issue.
The game is playing well, as long as I do not change any graphics settings. Specifically the anti-aliasing setting. If I change anything here, the system would either freeze-up or crash out to Windows desktop.

Will try the Comparability nonsense and see if that works. I guess, if it works, it's not nonsense, is it?.

Keeps crashing for me too. I'm running Crysis 64x and I can't seem to get it running.

I installed it tonight. Updated with all three patches and latest nVidia drivers. It loads and I can start playing it but a few seconds to a few minutes in I get 'Crysis has stopped working' then sometimes I get the 'Windows is searching for a fix' before it just black sceens and that's it.

    Specs:
    Windows 7 64 Ultimate
    i7 965
    GTX 285
    12Gb 1600 Mhz

Any help would be sweet! Thanks all!
