    Can't uninstall game

    Howdy All

    I rented a game recently and loaded it onto my PC. I played it for a while and have decided I don't like it.

    Hence I am trying to uninstall it. I go to Control Panel > Programs And Features and look for it on the program list. It is not there.

    I can find its installation folder in program files (x86) but I cant join the dots and work out how to get rid of it.

    As you can see this is not a life or death thing but more of an annoyance to me.

    Any suggestions

    Thanks

    @Mach04

    Better solution is to recommend the OP free version of Revo. It's also good.

    @scoobydog
    Free version is linked in my signature.

    Installed Revo but the game is not listed there either. Is there another way without damaging anything else?

    Good question - what game is this, and how did you originally install it?

    Try this:
    Open the installation disc(or .iso), find setup.exe and run it.You should be able to uninstall it with no problems.

    Uninstalling the manual way

    Hey,
    This issue you are facing is not uncommon, bing a games enthusiast i have faced countless problems like the one you face.
    And usually there are 3 options:

    Option 1 (medium level of knowledge)
    1. Go to the game folder
      • c:\program files\(studio)\(game) or
      • c:\program files\(game)
    2. Check the root game folder for an uninstall.exe or unistl.exe or any other name variants
    3. Run it (i prefer run as admin)
    4. observe what happens
    Option 2
    the second option is search google/bing for (game) cleaner or (game) uninstaller

    Option 3
    Warning this is a LAST RESORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. Delete the game folder
    2. Search for remaining shortcuts
    3. Delete game folder if present in %appdata%
    4. Search for and delete any reminance in registry
    I do not recommend this method and offer no guaranties this method (3) wont destroy your system

    Incidentally could you please provide the name of the game!
    I hope this helps

    There is an uninstaller in Ccleaner under Tools, you can try this to remove the game.

    I think using the programs should be a secondary option, he should try to find the uninstaller as stated above first dont you think?
