Started back into the Sims 3 thanks to recent EA sale of the expansion packs... picked up 5 of the current 8 expansions for under $10 each. Also still playing Skyrim and Civ 5 until Dishonored gets in my price range.

I got BF 3 for 12.00 and MoH:WF for 19.00. I can upgrade to premium later for less money than it would have cost me to buy it that way to begin with, and I probably won't play it for a while anyway.
I kept wrestling in my mind with that same thought on BF3... $12 was def nice, but since I have such a good catalogue of games in wait since Steam & Amazon Christmas sales, I am hopeful to get the full premium on a good sale someday... we'll see!

I also got the Sims 3 and a bunch of expansion packs while they were on sale.

Also got Sims Midieval while I was at it.

I was in the hospital recently, and I got hooked on the Sims Free for my tablet while I was there. I couldn't resist picking them up when I noticed the price drop. Haven't played them yet, I'm still DLing them. Never caught my interest before, but it kept me busy while I was there.

I was the same way with Minecraft. Never cared before, now I'll spend a couple of hours playing when I get into it.

I got my Income Taxes back and just stocked up for the year. I won't be wanting for something to play till at least next year.

Got into Dishonored. Pretty cool, it's like a cross between Bioshock and Hitman. The setting has a kind of Half-Life vibe too it as well. Not very far into it, but it's not extremely difficult for me to get the 'ghost' rating on every level. I'm a long time stealth action game fan. Played through every Hitman game, every Splinter Cell game but the newest one [No Ironsides, no sale], and yes, even MGS.

This one wouldn't be as good as it is without the steampunk Bioshock style setting. Still, it is definitely worth playing. Not sorry I bought it. Kept my interest so far, and the stylized look isn't too bad. Textures aren't great though, but the art style hides it well.

I'll finish it, and it may be a fun distraction in the future. It's kind of like Hitman in the regard that are a lot of different ways and paths to accomplish goals. Vets of this kind of game might find it a bit easy though. You can blast your way through it, but patience and planning are rewarded more.

Did you check reviews of these games? Aliens: Colonial Marines sucks
I pre-ordered this game before any reviews were in. It was based on Aliens and made by Gearbox - recipe for GOTYE or at least best FPS - on paper and hype.

Nostalgia might get me through it, but I'm no rush to play it

    If I wanted a genere-bangbang I would have bought Black Ops 2...

It's most excellent, I've only played a little of it, but it's sadistic and enjoys messing with your head even more than Portal. It will hurt your brain and laugh at you for it.
