I took a chance and got L.A. Noire for the PC. As my taste in VGMs are a bit weird, I, of course, loved it. Still playing it, though the lagging is driving me crazy.

Skyrim seems great so far, much better than the epic failure that was Oblivion (well, at least without the 30GB+ of mods xD). Next up, Saints Row the Third and AS: Revelations...
I'm unable to play L.A. Noire until probably this weekend at the least but I am really really excited about it, despite having played it on PS3 Just a side question, how much HDD space does it take up? (I think I'll need to clear up a lot of space before I install it ).
Recently poked my head back into CoD Modern Warfare (1) and enjoyed it visually on this PC, though I prefer the Bad Company 2 controls to these, especially with all the finger acrobatics I have to do on the keyboard with Modern Warfare
Not really sure about the PS3 version, but the PC version takes around 13,4GB

    Pong (console - no emulators)

and for hitting a ball back and forth, the graphics are pretty true to life (aside from the ball having corners)

    i'm playing skyrim too.

a few things do bug me though:

1 - lack of carrying capacity - you spend ages traversing through a convoluted mazey tunnels, hack and slash your way through a bunch of baddies, then you find you can't pick up all their stuff, as it slows your movement to a snail's pace. so you have to leave some of it behind, navigate your way back the way you came in to reach the outside world where you can fast-travel to a shop and sell your loot, you then need to fast-travel back, go through the lengthy labyrinth again to pick up the rest of the kit that you had to leave behind the first time, then revisit the shop once more to lighten your load - this can take a long long time and isn't very fun. of course, you could just leave the loot altogether, but i'm saving up trying to buy a house in whiterun!

once you get a companion, you can share the burden with them, but it's still a bit fiddly and boring transferring stuff between your inventory and theirs. it would be good if you could give your sidekick an order such as 'pick up all the stuff from that pile of corpses there'. there is a perk you can get so you can carry more, but you need to rank up quite a bit to get there. i look forward to mods which will address this weight limit.

2 - the ui! it's often counter-intuitive navigating through the commands and perk-up screen, and i often click on something expecting one result and instead get confounded by being sent back to the game unexpectedly because i clicked my mouse rather than hit the 'enter' key. i'm slowly learning, but it's still frustrating and feel it could have been done better. as mentioned in a post somewhere above, it's probably due to consolisation.

3 - the consolish graphics. visually the game does look a few years old. modern gpu's can do so much better.

apart from those gripes, i'm enjoying the adventure so far and have only experienced one ctd in 15 hours of gameplay. (not surprising really, bethesda have had lots of time to iron out bugs in the old recycled engine after all.) i've noticed the odd bug where you can't pick up the occasional item off the ground, especially arrows.

oh, and i'm playing as a cat - which is an option you don't see in many other games!

there's nothing particularly wrong with them, they just look a bit dated.

the important thing is the game itself - and overall, it's enjoyable.
