yes - it's common in these sort of games that the carrying capacity of a character is limited. when you exceed that limit, the penalty is slow movement.
i'm not saying the whole idea of it is daft, it does make sense - a character can't carry 15 swords, 20 hammers, 18 axes, 15 suits of steel armour, 50 loaves of bread etc all at the same time, that would be crazy. I just wish the original limit was a bit higher.
lol but he can carry around 5 suits of armour about 10 weapons and about 50 potions! wish i could fit all that in my ruck sack! oh and not forgetting some dragon bones and a mammoth trunk!!
Honestly, some bugs are a bit annoying (such using a mouse in the Inventory menus at times). That, and to me the shadows look bad at certain times.
But, I wouldn't let some of the bugs keep you from playing it.
Overall, the game runs really well, and looks good. Nothing I would call game breaking, at least that Ive seen. And what issues there are, should be patched out.
Considering its not patched yet, its in very good shape IMHO. Ive seen far worse.
For example, Deus Ex HR was very problematic for me until after a few patches. Almost unplayable at first with a C2D every 5 minutes or so.
I would still recommend Skyrim, despite the flaws it has currently. It truly is a great game.
I can't imagine what this game will be like after some heavy modding.
Look at Oblivion Vanilla vs modded Oblivion (Hi-res textures etc) Its a huge diffrence.
Actually you can move, but you move like a snail. But at least in Skyrim you can move. In Oblivion you couldn't move if you were carrying too much
LOL - I carry 2 two handed swords, 2 Axe, a mace, and a staff, or two
Armor wise I just use light armor and a couple of mage robes. Potions?... I've got a fair bit, but not enough
Yah it's a bit of a PITA but really it is good role playing. Build up your stamina to increase carrying capacity.
They took out some other role playing bits, a couple too many IMHO (I liked bartering for prices in stores! Don't miss having to repair armor though), glad they didn't remove EVERYTHING :).
31 hours into it, finished a 4 hour multi-part quest that looted over 5k in gold (half gold coin, half gold ore) along with some awesome adventuring. Still holding up great got a TON og gold ingots and gems now, time to make and sell some jewlery for mad profit, though I may wait a bit till my speachcraft is higher.
Had my first game bug that cheated me. Tip: If you kill a dragon and can't carry the insanely heavy dragon parts back, atleast remove them and drop them to the ground before traveling to your home and back in case the stupid skeleton dissapears
