    Perhaps I'm playing too much!

    pCARS
    Skyrim
    NFS Hot Pursuit
    Darksiders
    Oblivion
    Assassin's Creed
    Burnout Paradise

And that's only of the games I've recently installed. Damn Summer Steam sale.

Can't blame the Summer Steam Sale over there, down here it's WINTER Steam Sale... got most of the games you got in that list of yours too, all but Darksiders and pCARS

Got rid of the bottleneck in crysis now running my cpu at 3.6GHz,anyways been playing LA Noire and it's pretty hard imo. It's good and surprised it has dx11 support which I didn't know of when I bought it on the steam sale for 4.99usd. It's pretty good so far and runs a lot better then gta iv did.

Did it try to patch and then fail to run?

Check your Antivirus Quarantine for the patcher or Social Club entry.
Norton hated the Social Club Patcher and Sonar thought it was doing something very strange and bad to my computer and killed it.

Worth a look anyway. May be a similar issue.

I had a start up issue until I went in C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Social Club and in their there is a file called Social Club v1.0.6.1 to v1.0.6.6 Updater. I used that to update rockstar social club and my start up error went away for me.I kept getting runtime error 216 at 0055813 until I updated that and it fixed the problem for me.
