    CoD MW3 Problem

Well I Just Got MW3 Installed and I Tried Playing it.But Once I Got To The Menu, It All Looked Like Some Random Symbols and there was like little blue or black lines through through the words. I Miraculously clicked some random things and got into a game but once it loaded it was the same as before. Any help please?

    Update GPU drivers and DX.
However, considering that you have a laptop (which isn't all that powerful, by the way) your hardware may just not be able to support it. Even though the engine is old, it has been tweaked numerous times by now, it's overbloated and becoming cumbersome for all the wrong reasons (and even less appealing results).

Yes, I Know It Is A Really Old LOL. But I Can't Find Newer Drivers For It. Also, When I Download/Install AMD Catalyst, It Won't Work, Like Open Up. So Can You Try To Find Newer Drivers For Me? I Just Need A Temporary HotFix. Cause I'm Building a New Rig Next Month Or Early January. Thank You.

Does it happen in other games? Or just cod? I've only ever experienced this when I had dodgy ram.
But as mentioned above you do have a laptop and an under powered one at that.

And as for amd drivers not working what do you mean? The catalyst control center normally detects what hardware you have making it cover a wide range of gpu's

For starters it is a laptop. Second from when it was made reference drivers would not install on them without being modded first. Third there are no more drivers for it beyond this,

    ATI Catalyst

as it has beeb declared legacy status by AMD, and which likely won't install for the reason already mentioned.

DoomOfRage if it is due to the driver being too old, there is unfortunately not much you can do. If it isn't the driver it could be that the x1400 in your laptop falls under the minimum requirements for the game,

    OS Windows Vista/XP/7
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom X3 8750 or better
    Memory 2 GB
    HDD 12 GB
Video Card Shader 3.0 or better along with 256MB NVIDIA Geforce 8600GT/ATI Radeon X1950 Pro or better

    Sound Direct x 9.0c-compatible

    DirectX9.0c
Call of Duty MW3 System Requirements Revealed

I would lean more towards it not liking the driver. Despite the GPU being below the recommended, the game should play; it just won't play very well even at all low settings.

Well It Isn't The same thing... But The Games Are Combat Arms and Killing Floor. They Aren't Like CoD But Combat Arms Crashes(ATi Radeon Family Has Stopped Responding.Successfully Recovered. And Sometimes a BSOD) And It Also Has Some Sort Of Grey Or Black Lines Sort Of Like Rectangles Purtruding From My Guns In-Game(First Person Shooter) And Many Times From Like Across Maps And You Can See Like OPAQUE ROOMS See Through To To Another Wall. Same With Killing Floor But It Doesn't Crash or BSOD. If You Know How Ts Fix This, It'll Be Really Helpful.

If it works you use this,

Mobility Modder - ATI Version, Install the Latest Drivers on your ATI laptop

with the Vista legacy driver I linked to previously.

Thanks!!! It Worked But When I Play On 800X600 It Isn't Full Screen. The Actual Game Screen Is Smaller And There Are Black Bars On All Sides. Same With The Other Games I Mentioned Above (Combat Arms And Killing Floor). Combat Arms And Killing Floor Were Already 800X600 Before And Were Full Screen But Now They Aren't.
