It IS too bad, though, because L.A. Noire IS worth playing to an extent.
Rockstar really do hate PC users. All their responses to people asking about RDR for PC was "if it looks like it'll rake in more $ for us, we'll port it". Personally, I think GTA4 PC is better than LA: Noire PC. At least in their current states.
I hadn't really noticed the lag (the resolution letterbox was taking up the full extent of my blind rage against the game ) until others pointed it out I know the PS3 and Xbox 360 are optimised for gaming and solely made for it, but the PS3 has 256MB RAM and 256MB of intelligent video RAM (if I remember correctly). Speaking as a PS3 owner who has played LA Noire quite a lot on it, why does that get to perform better than my PC that has 6GB RAM, a hexacore processor, and 1.5GB of video RAM?? Yes, there were visual issues with LA Noire and intermittent crashing on the PS3, but it was still a lot more fluid than on PC
I downloaded the beta drivers for nvidia 560GTX, That combined with the -STR in the command line helped alot, I have pretty much elimated all lag. ALSO had to reinstall windows for some reason, had same problem with batman arkham city, games just refused to load.
allways start game with LANlauncher or command line won't work
I recently finished the game on X360 after getting tired of seeing how bad the performance on PC... Well the stuttering performance is migrated from the Console version if anyone have'nt noticed. I installed the disc's on my 360's HDD and at some points i experienced a strange issue even on the console just like i had on PC like games becoming a bit slowmo LOL dont know how to explain it.
While scouring through many support forums, I heard that it's better to play the game on the console without installing it. So just run it from a disc and it should preform better (which is weird to be because the last console that I owned was the original PlayStation). lol
