I'm fairly sure you're right about this. It seems to have some type of "Doppler effect" going on in that the sounds and voices seem to move around depending on how your character is positioned (more to the left if the character is standing to the left and vice versa), if you're in the 1st or 3rd person, and even if 'you' are standing close or far away from the NPC or source of the sound affects. I suppose it would be cool... however I'm using a 300-Watt JVC Stereo for everything over an AUX connection through my 23" Syncmaster. Everything else on the PC and TV feeds sound great... just not this game. Kind of sucks you can't tell the game what type of sound system you're on so it can dish out the audio accordingly (I believe most games auto-detect this but not Skyrim it would appear). I have to put the PC volume and game volume all the way up, and then turn the head unit up to about 15 (max is 30) to hear it as well as the rest of my games (and because of all the juice flowing through the amplifier at that volume, there is an electrical hum - even though I installed a THX certified AUX to 3.5mm jack cable, which is supposed to stop that).
Again... patch please! LOL
