This hasn't been done since the 90's. You're S.O.L if you want the newer FPS's, or any FPS for that matter. If you want to play with someone else, they need their own PC and their own CD.

HL2 or Left for Dead. :)

These can be turned up to look nice, but also set to run on a mobile phone :P

Ok, maybe not ... But they are pretty hardware friendly across a lot of setups.

Halo CE, the most classic PC game ever!
Unreal tournament 3/2004/GOTY (pick one) The UT series is the best story less really fast paced FPS series ever!
Mindless fun and shooting rampage, go for bullet storm
And if you really like the story like me you would go for halo

PS: graphics card dedicated memory does not matter as much as the actual card !

The memory doesnt matter, I have a Nvidia 580,and mine doesn't even have 2gig, its the series and technology that matters.

+1 Love UT! wont be able to run GOTY in win7? I had trouble anyway... UT3 will not run Max settings on a 9500GT but should be ok on medium at your native resolution.

I'd say UT2004 of the series for good performance and offline fun (beginners will die online instantly)

Hehe, yeah mine is pretty good hehe.

For nvidia the best single graphics card is the gtx580, they also make a duel card which is 2 gtx580's on on card which they call the 590, then you get the 570 which is slower and performs less then the 580 but is also allot cheaper, and then there is the 560 wich is again slower than the 570 but cheaper and so and on....if you want a new card i would say get a 560, it is imho the best value for money, it is fast, reliable and its got dx11, or you can spen twice as much some places even more and get a gtx580' wich is sofar the fastest single core card. I dont know ati, but the 5000 and 6000 series are pretty good.

Ps the new 6 series cards from nvidia will be available next year....but again that 560 is a verry nice card

the latest series is the 5** series, 520 is the lowest and is very poor in performance and the best is the 590, but at about £500 it isnt exactly cheap.
