    Should work for all

If your having this problem for the game then it should still work as it is not limited to intel only, reason why intel was used here was because of the amount of people that have intel and have this problem was significantly high. Thank you for your support!

Just want to say, that after almost 10 years, this fix STILL WORKS FLAWLESSLY. Cant believe Bethesda couldnt implement this fix themselves, especially with the announcement of Fallout 76. Thanks Again!

I played FO3 using Win XP, Win 7 and Win 10 without any issues. I currently have FO3 installed on one desktop and 2 laptops. I did not really have to do anything special to get FO3 running except for installing Games For Windows Live (GFWL) which is not installing along with Windows 10 because Microsoft abandoned it back around 2013. I also installed FOSE (Fallout Script Extender) which disable the game from checking GFWL.

If anything, you can play FO3 in Windows XP compatibility mode. Fallout 3 officially only supports Windows XP because Windows 7 was not released until 11 months after FO3 was published.

just be aware that FO3 itself is rather buggy. I had similar problems with the game right now as I did back in October 2008 with the game crashing or freezing a lot in full screen mode. Whenever I play FO3 for the 1st time during the day I always launch it in full screen mode. If the game freezes or crashes, then I launch the game in Windowed mode which prevents the game from crashing most of the time.
