Have not played this game with Win 7 but, so far, all the games I have throwned at it have played very well w/o the need to use Compatibility so I have a feeling that your issue is just corrupt drivers... it usually happens to me after installing 2 or more games one after the other.

Anyways, I see you have an Nvidia 8800GT and most all of us uninstall the video drivers before installing new ones but usually forget to uninstall the PhysX drivers and, at least to me, sometimes, this causes more problems than it helps... more so if the physX drivers have been updated with the latest drivers.

Also, if you don't install with Higher Administrator rights, the drivers may not install correctly.

Last but not least, are you using Std or Generic PnP drivers for your Monitor os dedicated Vista/Win 7 32 drivers? This has also given me a lot of problems and even BSODs.

You must start the Game and go to the Task Manager under Win7. Then you search the Prozess FFOW.exe and turn the Priority to Low and go back to the Game. No lags.
