When you take a screenshot in theater mode they are all saved online which is why you can't find them on your PC. Go to multiplayer/online vault and it should be in there.

You'll find the screenshot saved on Steam. Open Steam, and go to View, Screenshots.

Only if he pressed F12 but more than likely not.

With this game in theater mode you can watch games you have previously played in and spectate any player in those games or just watch from any perspective on the map. You can pause, rewind, fast forward and take screenshots at any time during the games but they are saved in an online vault.

To be able to save screenshots to your pc, do what awang said and use fraps or use the F12 key to save in Steam.

    MW3 SS in Win 7 Ultimate, 32bit

In Win 7= (of course you need to have saved a SS by pressing the F12 key in game, previously)
single left click to open Steam from taskbar, screenshots, choose which game, at bottom: Show on Disk. This will show the folder open, with the SS in there, and at the top of the window, a string like:
C:\Program Files\Steam\userdata\55581779\760\remote\42680\screenshots Then you can click on the number group (at the top of the window, between the > arrows; here, it is "42680") just preceding the file "Screenshots" and you will see a folder open named Screenshots. If you right-click on that, you can choose: Send to, and choose: Desktop(create shortcut). Thus you will have a shortcut to that SS folder on the desktop. No more searching the long way! Hope this simplifies things. Cheers!
