    Games Folder Options

    Hey everyone;

    Is there ANY WAY to enable extended options for games in the games folder, such as rename and properties, like if it was a shortcut?

    These options are available in Vista, but not in 7.

    Thanks

    What about properties, such as for changing icons?

    I dragged the Doom 3 ROE icon for the start menu to the games folder and now it appears like a small fuggly orb. I have a better icon for that, but can't change it.

    Cheers

    Try to edit icon first and then drag it to the game folder...
    Tried that, doesn't work...

    You can change the icon in the start menu, but after you drag it to the games folder, it appears as the dafault icon.

    Yep, it's annoying. I have a few like you that I added manually and some of them are fine, and some will come and go (right now I have two that are the fugly icon, and on the next reboot they could be back or better, have a couple of more with the fugly icon).

    And the truly idiotic thing about it is if I copy/paste or drag and drop the one(s) that are acting up, once they are on the desktop the game's regular icon appears.

    theres a program called Game Explorer Editor
    that lets you edit almost anything for any game. theres a huge database with all of the info about games (release date, publisher, ect.) called Allgame

    try it out. i found it to be very useful.

    That Game Explorer Editor doesn't work properly. I'm getting constant errors with it. It fails to see downloaded games in the games folder and has trouble adding games to the games folder. Maybe a w7-64bit version could fix the problems.
