yea, online/lan play is 99% of the game for me. I admit i havent gotten into the SP of ut3, but since ut04 was nothing of a SP challenge or gameplay life, I have went straight to MP. One big lacking of most UT games, but then again, its really built around the multiplayer experience. More gamelife out of SP with the likes of say call of duty series or C&C for that matter IMO.

As a true UT nut, i was just so disappointed with this piece of work. I really hope the next release, probably not for another 2-3 years, is better than this one. If one suggestion to the developers, keep it simple, the older titles did and sold more and had more support within the UT community.

after reading to page 5....the converstaions went way off topic.....

same here, the game won't install from disc, Ageia phys x laods and then little screen says:

"unreal tournament 3 is configuring your new software installation"
and then it hangs.....

my system; "short version"
AMD 3.2 dual core
ATI 4850
8gb Ram

works for me on x64 7 out of the box.

haha telling him that it worked outta the box for you doesn't help him
that sounds to me like a direct X or a C++ or a driver problem.
here install these three and then come back and let us know if the problem is fixed

Seems to me I was just answering the questions as to whether it works or not:
"Unreal Tournament 3 doesn't work right out of the box with Windows 7"

I only answered one part of his post. Reading threw it looks like the solution may have already been posted graphic drivers. Maybe this post should be a pole, did it work for you?

sorry for the long delay in getting back to you, been away for a while....
no after downloading the 3 items the same message comes up and the install wizard hangs.... never mind i'm getting modern warfare for x-mass thanks for the effort. arwyn

UT3.....Kept crashing in windows 7 did everything possible except 1 thing UPDATE YOUR PHYsX if you are crashing in windows 7. Solved my crashing issues. Woohoo !
