Ok this is rediculous. GFWL FAILING.

I've built every computer I've owned. buying every piece myself.
I've been reinstalling and maintaining windows since the days of Sound blasters and manual jumper settings. So I know the basics at least.

In the last two weeks, Games for windows live has been Disconnecting me
COMPELTELY randomly and random times. sometimes I can play for two hours straight,
sometimes it drops me twice every 15 minutes.
It has never done this before. I didn't change any of my internet settings. Ive been using the same highspeed internet box with its own built in router for two years.

Now, when I play online games, it will randomly boot me.
Nothings running in the background, no unnessisary programs.

No other problems with lag or virus or spyware in the least, that I've noticed.
no subtle oddities what so ever.

Except for this bull@#$ low quality product im forced to endure, just so I can PAY for games and play them online.

I do not want 10 layers of CRAP in between my purchased software, getting in the way when it fails. I realise that its not going anywhere.

But WTF is up with losing my connection?

I never go linkdead in any other online games what so ever, I never experiance any lag. Even when i get booted from GFWL.. no lag, no internet issues, no connection notifications in windows itself. online services like google still load and search instantly. no delay.

No only is microsoft getting in my way with excessive layers of application check points and log ins and maintenence AND performance bull @#$.
but now its ALSO effecting my ratings on competitive games when it drops @#$.

What do I need to check to sotp this bull @#$ Random GFWL Log out disconnects?

No one else is logging into my accounts, no oddities what so ever have ever been spotted in my Steam or other games and profiles.

I guess its something to do with a router? or a signal loss? thats triggering GFWL to cry like a baby and disconnect?

The only advice/suggestion I can give is that it's probably not on your end if you can still connect and function on the web doing your regular stuff. This leads me to the conclusion that's it's server related, to who ever is hosting the server. I know for past experience that is has happened to me and others while using steam. Generally when this happens it's for maintenance or some sort of hardware/software install or even a server crash. These symptoms can last for hours or days until it's corrected at their end and the bugs are worked out.

It could just be your ISP having issues at times.
Another possibility is the router itself is starting to fail, and dropping connections periodically.

If its getting worse as time goes by, I would certainly look more into it.

Ive not really had any issues with GFWL lately. Maybe 1 disconnect ... but nothing like you are describing.
I would think if it was a server issue on Microsofts end, the issue would be much more widespread.

    sigh. fknbull@#$.
I dont drop signal at all, in any internet things that I can notice.
    Ive opened all my ports.

I still drop from GFWL ONLY, randomly , once in a while.

    WTF is this @#$.

Chances are you've searched online already, and may have found this, but I'll post it anyway.
GFWL: Your connection drops after you sign in to LIVE

I only own a few GFWL games on steam, and haven't played them recently, so I can't say I've had any problems; but, I have a history of overlooking the easiest answer first and going for something more complicated. Hopefully this helps, if not, at least I tried to help, :P

If you're haviing a hard time signing into Window Marketplace live after having an active account chances are you haven't agreed to the new TOS aggreement.

Fix.... Attempt to log in, if you then get this window.....

Ok this is rediculous. GFWL FAILING.-wm-sign-error.jpg

Click the greay "CLick here to resolve" and it'll take you to a sign in screen.....

sign in and agree to the new TOS aggreement and you're good to go.

You may not have an xbox, but you still have to agree to the new TOS.
