    Gaming problems because of this error


    Hey.

    I have games on Steam that wants to install DirectX over and over again. I think it fails to install it.
    You see, when I update it manually (the full package), it comes with this error:

    DirectX setup has determined that a newer or equivalent version of DirectX has been installed already. No installation is necessary.
    I don't know if I should install the components one by one? (June, August etc.)

    Thanks for the link Zigzag. Unfortunately, it doesn't really cover what I really was looking for. I want to update my DX files, but it tells me I have a never version installed.

    Doesn't make much sense to me, it should allow me to update the files anyway.
