Team Fortress 2 Low Texture Bug?

Hi, I've been playing some Team Fortress 2 recently, and it's a great game. However after joining a server yesterday, all of the graphics are low quality. I have checked the settings and they say that everything is on max graphics as usual.

Most problems I have had with steam/source engine games.
Have been solved with a local file check or by deleting the .blob files in the steam root directory and restarting it.

This seems like a local files check.
Just open up the steam library and right click tf2
    choose properties
then go to the local tab
and click 'verify integrity of game cache...'
    See how that comes back
Also it never hurts to just restart steam, it could just be something wierd in the steam cloud. If it hangs trying to sync when you close it, that is likely the case. Steam cloud problems can affect game settings because of the way steam stores them now.

    I don't think so.

You could try the ol' drivers check just to make sure you have the latest graphics drivers. Try a computer restart, just in case, you'll be surprised at how many problems can be solved just by doing a restart.

I have the latest drivers for everything, and I turn my computer off when I'm not using it. Also, will I have to reinstall TF2 when I get Orange Box?

Since you already have TF2 it will not install it. Instead you will be able to give that copy of the game to someone else (on your friends list perhaps) who may not already have it.

But I'm using the Free to Play version at the moment. When I install Orange Box will I still get the premium features?

    What premium features are those?
I am not really aware of any significant difference between the free and pay versions of the game at this point.
