help: C&C generals zero hour on ATI Mobility Radeon hd

    hey all
i have got C&C generals zero hour from my friends and copied it to my laptop from a usb. whenever i try to run the game, i get the "technical difficulties" serious error from the game. i tried all compaptibility modes, none works.
after i read the readme i found out that mobility radeon are not supported by the game and i have 2 of them (1 power saving radeon hd 4250 and 1 high performance 1gb hd5650). i looked all over the internet but found no solution. does anyone here know how to run the game?

PS: the game actually RAN twice before copying it to my laptop from the usb but now no longer works
also, generals runs fine but zero hour doesn't

Did you copy the game from an USB? this is the problem. You should install Zero Hour from a CD or a DVD, or from an ISO. Games copied from USB or other drives not always work, especially if they are expansions of other games.

Mobility Radeon series are supported by Zero Hour (in fact you said "Generals works"). I played it on a Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP, and both Generals and Zero Hour worked.

Get an original ISO or a CD/DVD of the game and re-install Generals, then install Zero Hour.

You can also try to run Zero Hour with your power-saving Radeon HD 4250 (it could work)

i will try installing from an iso. the mobility radeon was included in the zh readme as a non suported card, but not mentionned in generals readme. it doesnt work on any of my gpus either. my other friends copied the game too from the usb and worked with no problem

try a clean install from ISO, and patch the game (v1.04 should be the last patch).

and run it on compatibility mode: "Win XP SP3"
