    Command and Conquer: Zero hour.

A friend and I are looking at having a game of Command and Conquer later on today, one issue is I am unable to get the game working.

I have the first decade edition of Command and Conquer and all the thread I have read are all talking about using a .InI file and are rather old threads. I have tried them to to no avail,

    Any ideas?

How are you unable to get the game working? What type of error(s) do you get?

I'm playing Zero Hour on Windows 7 32bit (compatibility mode = Windows XP SP3) and works fine. The first thing you can try to get the game working is running it on Windows XP compatibility mode.

ok, but you didn't answered my question.

    can you launch the game?
do you get some error messages?
have you tried to run the game using windows XP compatibility mode and administartor privileges?
have you tried to re-install the game and not using the unofficial patch?

(without your pc specifications, it is more difficult to help you..)

Now, yes. After I applied the community patch the game worked fine, no issue
do you get some error messages? Before I got the game working no, it would show a splash screen for the game and then display nothing and there would be no processes active for it as well

have you tried to run the game using windows XP compatibility mode and administartor privileges? With out the community patch yes and it did not work, with it installed worked fine with out touching it so they have found something to allow it to work fine.

have you tried to re-install the game and not using the unofficial patch?

Yes before I used the unoffical patch I tried that first to no avail

thank you for your pc specifications. They're fine for Generals Zero hour (i asked them because some Mobility Radeon Cards and some CPUs have problem with this game)

so have you find a fix for your problem? (if not, i suggest you to try the unofficial community patch version 1.03 --->rev2<---: The First Decade - Unofficial Patch 1.03 - Planet CnC)
