I remember the good old days when EA was actually a good company. That was long ago. I now cringe at their logo.
and to gay players suffering from underrepresentation in video games
Suffering? ....Really?
Last time I checked I wasn't a 7 foot tall bad ass elite bullet soaker that healed instantly after pausing for a few seconds - so since I'm a typical human, does that mean I'm under-represented too?
As for those who are 'offended' by same-sex content: Grow up ffs. Playing a game with same-sex content isn't going to give you the gay.

One gets the impression that he's making light of an enforced shoulder chip :)
Back on topic (sort of) in all seriousness, homosexuality doesn't bother me in the slightest unless the individual is a bore/annoying. My least favourite are the ultra confrontational ' fresh out of the closet' types. Right up there with there the over the top 'Yo Bro uber hetro alpha males with shit to prove'. *Yawn*. Just STFU and GTFO. Two polar opposite outlooks, yet both equally as tiresome.
However pandering to militant vocal minorities (regardless of minority/cause) does bother me.
Clearly not every individual defined as a sub-set of a particular minority has any form of an agenda, or has any interest in furthering their 'cause'.
But it's undeniable that some of the militant ones that have elements of support who have left humour behind and who do not speak for one and all pursue their agenda at every conceivable turn.
Depending on local vernacular, typically they are called Wan*ers/dickheads/f**ksticks, or less colloquially and less base known - annoying individuals.
Overall I'm pro-common sense/anti-pander.
EA cops flak for not enough gay charterers, yet cops flak for having gay content. No wonder we get diluted wishy-washy BS end results. The 'loudest' minority dictates the (largely rational yet uncaring) majorities outcome.
Any agenda aside, getting screwed as consumers is far more important than BS trivialities.
EA are a profit maximising, pro-unit sales distributor with scant regard to overall customer satisfaction. That's their biggest flaw. And the guilt right there is extremely justified.
They are the pimps of sub-standard quality deliverers in the game world.
That's the modern business model though, you must constantly increase profits at all times.
This can very often only be achieved through shady practices.
Like releasing 9 versions of what is essentially the same smartphone over the course of several years just to introduce imaginary demand and continuing to drive a market that can not sustain this forever.
The entire system is based on continually printing up more and more money from thin air.
The insanity of it is doomed to fail on so many levels. Anyone with the least bit of commonsense should realize it can't be sustained indefinitely.
I want to take money out of the democratic system.
We could fix most of this overnight after that was done.
Parties need to be abolished to, allow people to run on their own merit, like it was intended.
The whole system is so rank with corruption in every little corner of it you would bother to look, I can't keep quiet about it anymore at this point.
Of course suggesting we return to the system actually outlined by the Constitution apparently makes me an extremist these days.
I think I'm more of a realist, if my computer starts misbehaving this badly, step 1, restart.
We need a reboot, hopefully we have some indication what to look out for on the next go.
..and keep in mind the financial side of it is only the tip of the iceberg.
Not even touching on the other obvious evils the 'anything for profit' machine gets us.
I don't know how a country that constantly screams about christian values stands for this in the first place.
Probably because they have all fallen for the idea that they can make people morally righteous through the law, you can't. Best you can do is live your life according to your beliefs and values and teach your children to do the same. Beyond that it's largely beyond your control, and the more you try to tell other people how to live the more they will resent you. It's all part of this ridiculous dichotomy that keeps everything exactly the same.

Well in all honesty there are companies that do far worse than just ignore their customers.
I know of one and I am not going to name any names but it rhymes with Ubisoft!
Shady and unfinish games are launched, huge patch that ruins more than it fixes on the same day, 3 months later... nobody wants to talk about the game anymore because we have to hype the following polished turd. R6 Vegas anyone?
Now, they are coming up with Shooters where you can miraculously see through walls and tag the enemy at will. But Wait, there is more, to make it even faster and easier for you to win, we will give you a Camo where nobody will be able to see you. Oh and don't forget kids, the more intel and diamonds you find, we will rank you up so fast you will be UBER General in no time!
Well my specific thought was companies that use power and influence to manipulate democracy, the prices of goods and services, or destroy the environment, profiteer off death and destruction and for that very reason aim to see it continue.

Do you listen and trust game reviews or judge them for your self. Would you still buy a game if it only got fair review but the price was cheap enough.
What game did you install and was deeply disappointed even when the game got a good review
