Well, if you deleted the program files, along with the actual uninstaller application, then you probably can't uninstall it. You can, however, remove the program from the add/remove listing. It's probably easier to try and reinstall Sims 3 and then try to remove it again.

I would suggest trying to reinstall it, then uninstall it again from Program and Features in Control Panel. Sometimes that's the only thing that seems to work.

    Rats, typed too slow!

You said you've tried a lot of different things. Can you list what you've tried, so we don't repeat things over and over?

In the meantime: Do you have a retail CD or did you download the game? If you downloaded it, maybe it's corrupted? Can you download it again and try to reinstall? Have you tried using the Revo Uninstaller?

Apparently that's a runtime error, caused by registry corruption. I have 2 supposed fixes, one is to delete the folder-Program Files(x86)\Common files\Installshield\Proffesional
Reboot the file will be recreated and the problem should have gone. I have never done this so research and use at your own discretion.

    OR

Go to Microsoft and use their Fix it tool which might miss it, but CCCleaner won't. The registry cleaner would be the main one in this case.

    Hope this helps.

Still thinking about it, I need to do more research rather than rely on what I already knew from experience. Keep watching I'm off to bed now, back in about 9 hours, hopefully with more suggestions.
