Battlefield 3 (BF3) mouse pointer issue fix.

I was having an issue in battlefield 3, the only way I could make the mouse pointer line up with the in game menus was to point it at a location far down and to the right of the actual buttons. It was annoying me to death.

Anyhow the first solution was to disable all visual features in windows, but that's lame.
I finally discovered that by right clicking the program icon - properties - compatibility and ticking 'disable display scaling on high dpi settings' (pictured below) finally solved it.

I don't expect this is a very common problem, but I figure it has to be affecting someone else out there using high resolution settings so I thought I would share the fix.

Sorry to revive an old thread from 2012/13, but in case anyone else stumbles here as I did...

Sadly the option above to 'disable display scaling' didn't work to fix mouse pointer issue in Battlefield 3.
And the various youtube vids and other forum posts showing to add the following to the end of the target path (i.e. after bf3.exe): -noborder -width 1024 -height 768
... this also didn't work in my case.

Instead I found that I had configured f.lux software to emulate mouse cursor with software was what caused it, disabling this fixed the issue for me.

Hope this helps someone else out there.
