64 bit new PC minecraft function keys help!

I got minecraft and on my old computer I was able to press function keys and it does something in the game but with this PC when I press a function key a window pops up how can I make it so it will work in the game?

Perhaps if you post your system specs and tell us about the keyboard/mouse and what exactly do you mean by functions, we may be able to help better? At least, I know I could!

For now, all I can say is... try to see if there are newer drivers for your keyboard, Win 7 will install standard/generic drivers so the keyboard does its basic functions. Either that or, try setting and options for the keyboard, perhaps there is something there that will prevent win 7 from opening up a window while in game.

Sounds like your keyboard came with software that lets you assign different actions to the F keys. You need to find what software that is and see if you can disable it before you start Minecraft.

I know where the F keys are and what the do... it seems you are not reading or understanding what we are trying to tell you. Read your post and then read our post, understand them and then comeback with an answer to each of them... only then we can move forward.

Remember, we are not looking at your computer, we can only help you if you provide the information we need.

    Google is your friend... Google

But, now we know something we didn't from your first post... you have a Laptop. That is a start.

I don't know laptops at all and they are very cumbersome (for me) when it comes to games so I will let others take over.

    Good Luck

What would really help is if you were to tell us the manufacturer and model of the laptop you have. We could look up the system specs with that info.
