METRO 2033 Crash, Driver 301.42 Nvidia

So today i uninstalled previous 296 drivers, and updated to the 301.42 drivers, never had a problem before, but now when i run the game or the benchmark both my screens just go black, i have to ctrl + alt + del to get back to desktop, I have tried a number of fixes, i know its not my PSU, i ran Furmark for 20 minutes a hour ago and no crashs/artifacts nothing.

    Thanks guys

It was working yesterday with the 301 drivers, I have a feeling it is something to do with steam, gonna try uninstalling the game, will post back if it sorted it, thanks for the reply bud:)

Why did you install new drivers? Were you having an issue? Have you tried reinstalling 296.10 drivers?

I ran Phyxion Driver Sweeper as recommended by someone from these forums, and re-installed 296.10, BF3 does seem so much smoother constant 61fps with everything on ultra and v-sync on, but Metro still don't want to load, it's weird.

Nope no error, no sound nothing, this is the only game it occurs on, I found out today one of my Ram Modules had failed and kept giving me BSOD, so I thought it could be that, but nope, still the same, I even tried verifying the Cache on steam but nothing, apparently its a common fault with Metro.

I have tried a load of stress tests to make sure its not my Hardware, Furmark, OCCT, Prime95, Kombuster, Linx, 3DMark11, MemtestCL

and everything came back absolutely fine, I'm confused lol.

Have you tried going to the main directory were metro is installed and launching from the metro2033.exe instead of launching through steam to see if it will launch like this or not?
