Ahhh, didn't see the post before the PM... sorry.
Dustsailor answered your question... SLI is two similar/equal cards working in unison.
I have a GTX260 (old card) so adding another small card for PhysX duty was a good move.
Being said that, if you want to do SLI (which btw, I have heard that it doesn't really work and it is more of a marketing scam than anything else)... make sure your motherboard supports 2 x 16 PCIe slots.
do i need to use a sli bridge to use the 9800gt just for physx And also sli just a marketing scam I had a few peps say it works good but as always iI trust the peps here so i well look into it befor i buy a other 560ti thanks
No don't use the bridge. Also, SLI can have some problems at times for some people, but it does work. It won't give you the performance of two cards, though. It will give you 1.5 times to maybe 1.8 times the performance for the newer cards, so not quite the performance of two you were hoping for*. Thing is, buying two cards can get expensive. I prefer buying the latest card for speed because it is less trouble, and is faster than an SLI of two medium or lower grade cards.
*Edit: to read more acurate details on SLI, visit Nvidia - http://www.geforce.com/hardware/tech...sli/technology (apparently the performance varies dependant upon the application or game)

In my experience (As an FPS Campaign Gamer), SLI is simply a waste of money... more so because the majority of the games (Shooters) are bad console ports, games that have not been optimized to take advantage of SLI or even worse, don't work at all (or the game is hindered) unless you disable SLI.
Now, if you want to Show Off to friends, win Bragging Rights and Benchmarks or play other Genres then, well... I simply don't know
