That people keep buyng these broken game does not shock me in the least, what has me at a AWE is the fact that these Companies can get away from doing so. I know its only 60 bucks but my point is that it should be illegal for them to do so just like it is illegal to pirate their games.
Don't you know that most games that're realised on the PC nowadays are just glorified 60 dollar betas for us to test?

Consumers have indeed voted with their wallets. They've indicated to the companies that they've willing to accept that substandard quality, and are in fact hungry for more helpings of that mediocrity.

Again, that is what I have been saying all along...

Now, there ought to be a law against it though... taking advantage of people stupidity and/or good nature should not be legal. that's what's shocking to me in a way.

You know what's weird, game was working ok on Veteran for the most part, he started a new Campaign in Elite and now, the games freezes randomly, it locks or he can't use the RMB to shoot This game is just to much

It appears that patch 1.3 resolves the issues with the mouse/KB and it doesn't break the system. I am hoping to install it for my friend tonight but I am wondering... do I also have to install 1.1 & 1.2 or is 1.3 a standalone patch?

Ubi's forum is a joke, even the moderators and/or forum managers or the Community Developer doesn't know his head from his ass and they have that forum full of Sticky Threads... how did we get here!

When it comes to the past newish Ubisoft games I've played, (Heroes VI, Assassins Creed : Revelations, Driver San Francisco etc), the newer updates were not cumulative; you have to install all the updates in order, from oldest to newest. Should be the same case for this game too.

I guess I will advice him to finish the game first and if he wants to replay it, then we can do the patching... I have a funny feeling the patching will nuke the saves and a whole bunch of other files!

Well, I got good news and I got bad news...

1.- The patches did not hindered or damage the game at all, I did them one at a time w/o restarting... this is the good news. Well, I lie, the truth is that now that he is playing it on ELITE, there are some parts where the mouse just doesn't want to work (shooting button) and you either have to make a melee attack to pass. In some other parts, the game freezes (hangs) a little bit and then it starts working again.

2.- The bad news is that it didn't fix anything at all. To be exact, his biggest problem was the fact that my friend couldn't MOVE the UAV/Crawler with the RMB (same button he uses to move the character) and after patch 1.3... he still can't use it.

So, I hear patch 1.4 is already out... anybody with problems tested it already? What's the story, same crap different day or does it do what says it does?

Biggest problems, using the mouse with the Crawler and not being able to utilize Gunsmith!... yeah, that simple!

I haven't played the game since the patch so I can't comment on that.

OK so me and a couple of friends were playing story mode in co-op last weekend. We were at a part where we had to stealthily sneak into a factory (building). We were struggling bad at not getting spotted and trying to kill all the baddies before alerting the whole dam baddie army of our presence when one of us decided to try and sneak into the building by himself while the rest of use stayed back out of sight. There were about 8 baddies outstide the building. When he actually made it inside the building...every one of the 8 baddies outside DISAPPEARED. We were all like are you freaking kidding me??

    That's just unreal.

I tried one of their Challenges, I think it was at the end where you need to Ice the rest of the Big Wigs, the challenge tells you that you need to get to the water w/o being seen, well, it is bad enough to sync shots with your teammates, let alone kill a bunch of baddies w/o one of them detecting you!

Sad really, yet another game with huge potential down the toilet
