    Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

I heard and read as well that is out already.

So, is this the typical UBI Shoddy, unoptimized, buggy Game or have they finally turned the corner? Bwahahahahaha... sorry, couldn't finish the sentence w/o busting a gut laughing

Seriously though, aside from the Third Person View (that I hate with a passion because it makes moving so cumbersome), has anybody played the campaign yet? if so... your thoughts are appreciated! :)

I haven't played this game but i've been playing their ghost recon online f2p beta and it seems ok,i'm guessing the mp would be similar to future solider. Runs alright just once in a while it will hiccup for no reason.

From what I hear it's a piss-poor port with no keyboard/mouse support, no fullscreen support, and the visuals are well... also piss-poor.

I really didn't want to hear those things as I was genuinely looking forward to the game since last year but whatever, I guess the delay between release dates meant nothing at all.

    Hi Terrornium,

The usual forumites are claiming exactly what you've mentioned, the game is very poorly optimized even for the highest end systems.... some are claiming that once again it runs more poorly on AMD based graphics cards compared to NVIDIA ones, so i guess in your case you're better off skipping this purchase until they properly patch it...

    That's rough.

Guess I'll be picking up Diablo 3 now.

I cancelled my pre-order when they pushed the release date from 15th June to 29th June here in UK. Still not sure if it will be released tomorrow or not.

Also I've been playing Ghost Recon Online F2P Beta, and to be fair it didn't impressed me, gameplay is too laggy and slow and graphics seems old age.

As mentioned above, may be cause I am running AMD cards

I would do my due diligence before I throw money away because, from what I head... Diablo 3 is no better.

I do believe Diablo 3 is also made by Ubisoft, right? if so... then I am right.

Not trying to put you down or piss on your cheerios, more so... trying to understand why!

You pre-ordered a game before even playing a demo? Why would you do that... does money burns a hole in your pocket if you don't spend it?

I read on the Ubi forums something that just baffled me to no end... a guy pre-orders the Xbox game, gets irritated to no end with UBi because he can't play a game but he doesn't stop there. To stick it to Ubi, he goes out and buy the PC game as well??? WTH??? I am sorry, but I can not, in good conscious feel sorry for this dude. Sure, UBI should be taken to Jail for abusing people's normal human behavior, after all, if you pay 50 bucks you expect the thing you purchase to function correctly but how can you not educate yourself better when it comes to making purchases?

Anyways, half the fanbois that were praising the game before it came out are the same ones doing the whining right now, the other half are still smoking the same crack pipe telling the others to come down, that UBI will fix all the issues sooner or later, like if this is normal behavior

Well, I guess I am waiting for below the normal bargain bin prices if I decide that the Campaign is worth at least 5 bucks.

I'm just going to skip ghost recon, their title rainbow six was/is much better then ghost recon,I enjoyed playing rainbow six and rainbow six 2.Ghost recon gets kind of boring and the kills I get in ghost recon online feel like to easy and kind of cheap imo. To easy to play as sniper,I can sit their by the capture point all round and kill a bunch of ppl rushing in and when i run out of ammo then all i do is go to one of their corpse and i'm reloaded again. Anyways I would proably wait for another game, ghost recon online beta didn't impress me to much either, game was ok nothing spectacular.

I just wanted to comment that I've been playing the game in fullscreen with keyboard and mouse with no trouble. There is a problem where the mouse cursor doesn't work in some menus, but the direction keys work as a replacement and in game control works like any other FPS. I had absolutely no issues with fullscreen.

Definitely not perfect, definitely a port, but quite playable. I wouldn't recommend installing their latest patch, though. It broke more than it fixed and I had to revert back to the original install.
