That was what i suggested, but it seems like the files can't even be copied themselves, according to the OP

It started out with my microSD card - I tried to view the files on my computer and it said "the disk is write-protected" and wouldn't let me view anything. Windows 7 will delete "Read-Only" files without providing any warning (unlike XP).:mad: Windows Media Player 12 will overwrite files which have the "Read-Only" attribute set.:mad: Does anyone know how to make Windows 7 (& WMP) obey the "Read-Only" attribute on files?:confused:
