    Game Explorer and games startup.

So there I was, without internet about to play a game. I install the game, try to run it.... and it never started.

I checked, and it seemed a rundll32 was starting at the same time, taking 100% usage of a core. I checked and the rundll32 was the following:

    Code:
C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe C:\Windows\system32\gameux.dll,GameUXShim + blah blah game exe file
I had all disabled under Game Explorer Options, and manual. I even tried to unregister the gameux.dll, which was futile. In the end, I couldn't play the game.

Once I got internet back, I ran the game... it hanged for a few seconds and it launched. Which was most likely by the Game Explorer getting the box art of the game. After that, no hang at all, even without internet.

Does anyone know how to disable that thing?

It appears that there's a Compatibility Fix called GameUX for the executable of the game. Thus, some possible solutions could be the following:

The more simple one to try, is to just rename the executable.
    (dunno why I didn't try that first >_< )

A more aggresive one, is using the Compatibility Administrator and removing the GameUX fix for the executable.

Both methods seem to have worked.
